Abstract: Based on analysis on the O-P thermodynamic model, raised by Ortin and Planes, of thermal measurements in thermoelastic martensitic transformation, the s have pointed out shortcomings of the model, and proposed amendments. On the basis of new assumptions made by the s, the equation of the latent heat of the transformation is derived by application of the first and second thermodynamic principles to a complete cycle, which can be used to separate the latent heat of the transformation from calorimetric data.
