Abstract: The effects of Pb addition on the mechanieal properties , microstructure, crystal structureand fracture characters were investigated. It has been found that the room-temporature mechani-eal properties of TiAl based alloy can be improved by Pb addition, the reasons for which havebeen explainetl based on the changes in microstructure and fracture characters with Pb addition.
