ELECTROMAGNETIC MODEL OF LEVITATION MELTING WITH COLD CRUCIBLE

Abstract: The electromagnetic problems of levitation melting with cold crucible were studied. A quasithree dimensional model of electromagnetic field in this levitation melting process and the modified coupled current method were presented. The influences of crucible structure and power frequency on the electromagnetic field in this process were analyzed.
